| Producer Handling Music For 2012 Academy Awards
Producer Pharrell Williams will serve as musical consultant alongside Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer for the 2012 Academy Awards. The musicians will share supervising duties--a first for Hollywood's biggest awards show. The show's producers say that they are "looking for an opportunity to inject music into the program that touches on Zimmer’s classical flair, and the hip hop, R&B and pop sensibilities that Williams is known for." The 84th Academy Awards ceremony is held on February 26, 2012 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. Pharrell has been one of the top hit makers in popular music over the past fifteen years; having produced smashes for everyone from Britney Spears to Jay-Z. |
