Singer Pleads Guilty To Failing To File Taxes
Singer Lauryn Hill could face three years for intentionally failing to file taxes dating back to 2005. According to TMZ, Hill pleaded guilty while appearing in front of a judge today (June 29th), the singer earned $1.8 million between 2005 and 2007 but chose not to file for that three-year span. The singer could also be forced to pay almost $100,000 in fines.
Hill's fellow former Fugee Pras reacted to the news."I'm bugging! I can't believe it! I'm sitting here on a plane to L.A. listening to Phil Collins and Philip Bailey 'Easy Lover' on my iPod. But I don't believe she'll go to jail, but damn bail is 150K?! Zimmerman was about the same. Go figure! ... This is crazy!!" he tweeted.
