Stage Manager Files Suit Over SXSW Brawl 1:30PM ET July 16th, 2012 Contributor : Stephen Willis A Rocky Williform Company A$AP Rocky's A$AP Mob is being sued by a stage manager that was working the 2011 FADER Fort party at the SXSW Music Festival over a brawl that happened during the collective's performance. Anthony Montalbano claims that Rocky's crew "beat the hell out of him on stage" while he was trying to remove sound equipment that the group was destroying. The suit names A$AP Mob, Sony Music Entertainment and Fader Media Network for not providing proper security. According to Montalbano, the group "shouted obscenities indicating their dissatisfaction with the microphones and damaged musical instruments and equipment that was on the stage," and he was "grabbed by the defendants and continuously punched in the face and head for several minutes and said defendants hit plaintiff in the head with a microphone." Montalbano required 10 stitches in his scalp. He is wants damages for "negligent hiring, emotional distress, assault and battery and negligence."
