After dating on and off since losing her husband 14 years ago, it seems media mogul Katie Couric is ready to bring love back in her life after reports surfaced that she been seeing a man named John Molner.
According to The New York Post's Page Six, the ABC News correspondent has been with 49-year-old Molner for the past few months and sources say the pair are "very happy together." Molner is the head of mergers and acquisitions at Brown Brothers Harriman, an investment bank and securities firm.
Couric seems to be getting more comfotable with him after making a rare public appearance with Molner at the Ellen Hermanson Breast Cancer Benefit on Saturday (July 28) where a guest told Page Six, "Katie looked better than ever and, clearly in love, did her best to keep her relationship with John low-key."
The insider explains, "She was careful not to be photographed with him, but they were clearly together. They looked good together and other guests remarked that he seemed a more age-appropriate match."
Although she stayed professional during the event, Katie - whose husband Jay Monahan died of colon cancer in 1998 - must have loosened up a bit after a witness says the couple "were kissing in the driveway before driving away together."
Miss Couric is preparing to launch her own afternoon talk show on ABC, and even though she says it's still "a work in progress" the show is said to premiere on September 10th and have a studio audience.
