If there was any speculation as to whether or not Melanie Fiona's new album, 'The MF Life,' is inspired by ex-boyfriend and "CSI Miami" actor Adam Rodriguez, she made it clear during her show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, Calif., Thursday (March 23) night.

The 28-year-old took a page out of Lauryn Hill's book by showing up two hours late for her speedy set. Luckily, Fiona made up for her epic tardiness by putting on an energetic, powerful show. But the subject of her love life was an underlining theme that could have very well just been a way to introduce the music.

"I didn't know that I would be writing the actual story that would become my life," she told the crowd. "How did I become the 'Wrong Side'?" Fiona subsequently launched into 'Wrong Side of a Love Song,' a song featured on her new LP. In response to a fan yelling, "I love you," she said, "I'm glad somebody does," but despite issues in her personal life, she found an interesting medium of being both coy and candid with the crowd, even pulling an audience member on stage.
