| Sports Bar Cited For Health Violations Days After Reopening
Just 48 hours after reopening, Jay-Z's famed 40/40 Club in Manhattan has been shut down to numerous health code violations. The New York Post reports the city's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued the 40/40 69 violation points, including violations for workers not using proper utensils to eliminate bare hand contact with food, poor refrigeration and storage practices and other citations. “If you have a walk-in place with food like this, you put a hell of a lot of people at risk,” an anonymous source said. “A night of dinner and dancing should not include the risk of contracting food-borne illness.” The news comes just two days after the 40/40 Club reopened following significant renovations. The event was a star-studded affair with Warren Buffett, Spike Lee, Serena Williams and more in attendance. |
