2012 NAACP Image Awards: The Show, The Winners

Paying tribute to the best in African-American entertainment over the past twelve months, the 43rd NAACP Image Awards took place in Los Angeles, CA on Friday night (February 17).

Held at the Shrine Auditorium, the annual ceremony was hosted by Sanaa Lathan and Anthony Mackie while the big winner over the course of the show ended up being "The Help".

The African-American maid based motion picture nabbed a full slate of trophies including Outstanding Motion Picture, with Viola Davis garnering Outstanding Actress honors while co-star Octavia Spencer earned herself the Outstanding Supporting Actress accolade.

With other triumphant individuals including Laz Alonso as Outstanding Actor and L.L. Cool J as Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series, performers taking the stage throughout the evening included Jill Scott, Lenny Kravitz and a duet from Jennifer Hudson and Ne-Yo of the Dianna Ross classic "Ain?t No Mountain High Enough".

Joining in on the festivities were a long list of stars such as Paula Patton, Garcelle Beauvais, Anika Noni Rose, Regina King, Keke Palmer, Sean Diddy Combs, Michelle Williams, Tia and Tamera Mowry, Vanessa Williams, Gabourey Sidibe, Meagan Good, Taraji P Henson, Amber Riley,
