Nile Rodgers Confirms Nerve Damage After Prostate Cancer Battle

Nile Rodgers, founder and guitarist of the R&B-funk band Chic and a prolific music producer for the likes of Madonna, David Bowie and Diana Ross, is suffering from nerve damage. The entertainer announced Tuesday (July 24) he is seeking advice from a medial specialist regarding the damage, which occurred as a result of his battle with cancer.

After an aggressive form of prostate cancer struck Rodgers in 2010, he underwent surgery and was officially declared cancer-free the following year. However, in a post on his official website, the "Le Freak" performer revealed his recent struggles, admitting that he has never "fully recovered" from losing muscle strength in one hand.
